THEME: THEOSIS

Mankind was created in the image of God, and is called to grow daily in his likeness. This last is referred to as THEOSIS by the Fathers of the Church, a Greek term meaning "deification" or the process of becoming Divine, and which St. Peter referred to in his Epistle (2 Peter 1:4) when he wrote that we are to become "partakers in the Divine Nature". Because this work is integral to Christian life, our weekend talks will focus on what this means and how it is to be accomplished.
